For those who were unable to attend the grand NYE party for Northern Lights + The Qu at Parlour on Clark with Daddy Nicole Garneau and DJ Erik Roldan I edited together a little sample so you can see how fucking kill Chicago’s tumblr queer kids evolve, introducing Go-Go Gothic Dancers/CHICAGO IRL contributors (who you may recognize from around these tumblr lands) sensations: Topknot and [X]P.
;o) Enjoy!

At some point in the evening people kept ending up on the stage. It was our pleasure to see contributor Andy Siharath come up to talk briefly about his custom-made floral jockstraps that many of you purchased and of course Nicole Garneau donned a pair to demonstrate their durability. Andy has since launched the beginning of his own line beginning with these lovely straps at LAD: Lady & Lad.

Who is this? Why none other then the brilliant Daddy Nicole Garneau host, priestess, player and wunderkind of Chicago dance party Northern Lights located in Chicago’s Roger’s Park neighborhood off Devon and Clark the last Wednesday of every month.
I knew right away that Northern Lights would be a great crew to go for to host the Chicago IRL launch party. Having attended several of these early events and baring witness to the constantly surprising, unexpected and dangling right off the damn edge performance. A success it was and we could not be happier. Thankfully Northern Lights is not quarterly like our wee zine, meaning we hope to see you at the next event!
